Religion can be a contentious issue and  has recently taken a large role in U.S. politics from the debate on gay marriage, to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, to prayer in schools.  According to Wikipedia, religion plays much more of a role in the mind of the U.S. population than it does in other industrialized countries.  The majority of U.S. citizens describe themselves as Christians (75.9 %), but this fact doesn’t necessarily mean that all Christians are like-minded and there are certainly a large number of people of non-Christian religions.  This religiosity not only affects the U.S. political landscape but also the U.S. social landscape. For many religious millennials, it may be difficult to meet someone of the same faith.  However, online dating seems to be a popular and effective way to meet people who share your beliefs. According to an August 2007 article on marketingvox.com, religion dating sites’ popularity sky rocketed between 2005 and 2006 as opposed to other secular websites that experienced a decline over the same period.  Whether you’re Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or another religion, there is an online place where you can meet other singles.  Below I have listed several websites you may want to check out either for your own curiosity or for networking purposes.
